Sustainability
Made in the UK
All of our garments are designed at our studio in Gloucestershire. We work with a small factory to develop the samples and produce a limited quantity of each piece.
Working at this scale and closely with the manufacturers ensures each garment is of the highest quality and any waste is limited. We are committed to investing in UK manufacturing, working with the latest knitwear technologies and combining this with traditional craftmanship.
Materials and Process
Our knitwear is made using the highest quality Italian yarns. We use Cashwool, this yarn is as light as silk, warm and dynamic. Cashwool is naturally hypoallergenic, breathable and the fibres have special crimps, which create air pockets to retain heat, making our jumpers extremely warm. We also use extra fine Italian silk in a range of beautiful colours.
Many of our designs use natural dye pigments to create subtle and varied tones on both knitted and woven fabrics.
We are passionate about the materials we use, the processes behind designing a garment, from conception through to manufacturing and the importance and lasting impression these garment will have on our customer.
Packaging
Our clothing labels are hand screen printed on production off-cuts of silk and cotton.
Our swing tags are printed by hand on a latter press by The Mill Pond Press in Stroud.
Mussi online uses kraft paper bags to ship your order, these are made from a environmentally friendly composition, 100% recyclable and FSC certified.
